The standard cPanel costing program provides essential support for operations that have become standard in modern day computing, such as management of PGP keys, mail accounts, mailing listings and many others; however, for some users, their needs are beyond the basic functions of the cPanel system. There is more potential to unlock in the cPanel service by a number of add-ons that are compatible. These add-ons do require an additional monetary investment. The main add-ons are auto installers that are programs such as Installatron or Fantastico, which as the names states, automate the installation of web applications and manage the upgrading of them automatically as well. There are also built-in upgrades to the cPanel service to try to improve the web hosting system constantly. Furthermore, there is a new system being developed, which is a brand new version of the cPanel hosting service that is designed to be run on Microsoft Windows, named Enkompass, which is in the development stage.
